    Why Choose Turkewitz Law?

If you’re looking for a personal injury attorney you’ve likely been injured by the negligence of others. On the other side is a person or company resisting the obligation to provide fair compensation for your injuries. Personal injury lawyers level the playing field so that individuals have their cases heard in court on equal footing with multi-billion dollar companies.

We believe in personal responsibility. If people or companies injure or kill others through their negligence they should be accountable for the losses. That is fair and just, and that accountability not only provides for the needs of the injured but also makes our communities safer.

This firm is, therefore, dedicated to helping accident/collision and medical malpractice victims gain fair compensation for their injuries, as well as the families of wrongful death victims. Eric Turkewitz, the firm’s founder and principal trial attorney, has argued for over 30 years in front of judges and juries for just that purpose.

For ten years in a row, 2009-2018, he was selected by Super Lawyers Magazine, as a “Top Rated Personal Injury Attorney” attorneys in New York. He is also the publisher of the award winning New York Personal Injury Law Blog, established in 2008. He has written over 1,500 posts, on a very wide number of subjects relating to personal injury law or law practice, of which three recent (and frequently updated) ones are linked below.
